Saundra Martin, 75, of Timberon, New Mexico passed away on October 12, 2018 at her daughter's home in Princeton, TX. Saundra was born in Kaufman, TX to Juanita and W.A. Heflin on December 15th, 1942. Saundra married the love of her life,Waylan Martin, on July 23, 1969 and lived most of her life in Monahans, TX. She was a long time active member of the First United Methodist Church of Monahans, and was active in civic organizations including the Garden Club and Ladies Bible Study Fellowship. She was an expert cook, seamstress and artist among many other talents.


Saundra Martin is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Laquintha Kent. Saundra is survived by three daughters, Alicia Aussem of Princeton, TX, Ellen LaCourse of Dallas,TX and Janis Martin-Dohertyof South Jordan, UT. Grandchildren Taryn Russell, Lexi Hayes, Chance LaCourse,Jasmine Armstrong, Casey Batchelor-Gage, Jake Batchelor, David Batchelor, Isaac Bachelor and Rebecca Batchelor, along with 18 Great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews: Sherri, Jim, John, Cari and August Smith, Bonnie Rives, Mindy Boysaw, Becky Lewis, Randy and Kelly McGowen.
